Breakwater Update - 6.29.2022
Wow - real progress on the Sargent Beach Breakwater and Jetty project as well as beach nourishment. The permit is in hand for the breakwater project! The permit is in hand for the beach nourishment associated with the breakwater project The permit for beach nourishment for the "historic stretch" of Sargent beach - 1 mile east of bridge to the breakwater project - should be in hand in a week or so Final engineering on both all three projects is complete We are only waiting on the Texas Government Land Office - GLO - for contracting!! That's some serious progress people - these permits are incredibly hard to get done. And we have them done. Come on GLO - get that contract awarded!!!
