Time is almost up letters must be in by Monday afternoon 9/23 - all you need to do to help save Sargent Beach from erosion by helping us get funding for beach water erosion projects is to cut and paste the below in an email to:
RComments@tceq.texas.gov
Also email all the residents you know to get them to do it as well - this is a numbers game. We must show support -

re: RESTORE Bucket 2 Funding
Sargent Segmented Breakwater and Beach Nourishment Project

Dear Commissioner Baker:

As a resident of Sargent, TX, I (we) fully support and recommend the Sargent Segmented Breakwater and Beach Nourishment Project as one of Texas’ pre-proposal projects to be submitted to the RESTORE Council for Bucket 2 RESTORE funding consideration.

We have watched helplessly as our Gulf facing shoreline has eroded to the bare clay bottoms. Without the construction of this project, our coastline will be lost to the Gulf of Mexico permanently, the GIWW will be breached and our marshes and properties will be completely exposed to future storms and their storm surges.

The Sargent project means so much to my family and community and we are eager to see it constructed. We ask that you present this project to the RESTORE Council for funding. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.

Sincerely,
